Building Into Art- Fall 2025
Join Smart with Art as we explore art in architecture! Famous American Architect, Frank Lloyd
Wright will inspire us to create a 3d sculpture home model. Get creative as we design our very
own treehouse, including floor plans and blueprints inspired by local tree house master, Pete
Nelson. So many fun adventures as we build our skills in art and discover the wonders of
architecture in this innovative and creative session. As always, dress for mess!

Piano Class: Bach’s Harmony Keys   
Thursday | 3:45 - 5:00pm | Grades K-5 | Max: 8 students
Fall session: 09/25, 10/02, 10/09, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/06, 11/13, 11/20, 12/04
Cost: $475 (10 sessions) 

New Bach Music School is excited to offer a Piano Class designed especially for K-5th graders! As a
premier provider of classical music education, we partner with local schools to bring high-quality after-
school enrichment programs led by exceptional musicians and experienced educators with advanced
degrees and Ph.D.s.
In this class, students will develop essential piano skills, including hand position, note reading, chord
vocabulary, rhythm, and music theory. They will also learn and play a variety of fun songs, making their
musical journey both engaging and enjoyable!
Keyboards and headphones are provided, and each student will receive a lesson book. At the end of the
session, students will be awarded a New Bach Music School Certificate to celebrate their musical
achievements.
The class is open to all K-5 graders, new and returning students! Returning students will start from where
they left off in the previous session. We look forward to making music together!

Chess Club
 

Mondays or Thursdays at West Mercer Elementary from 8:05am-9:05am
Total 10 classes, cost per student: $230


Mondays: Sep 29 through Dec 8. No club on Nov 24.
Thursdays: Oct 2 through Dec 11. No club on Nov 27.


Who should attend Chess Club and why?
Beginners through advanced players are welcome at Chess Club!

Make new friends while learning chess skills and practicing together each week. Chess has been proven to improve focus and critical thinking! In our classroom, chess is also a fun game where we build confidence, socialize, and practice sportsmanship.


What will students learn in Chess Club?
We will adjust each Chess Club to the students who attend to make sure all players learn!
Beginners will learn chess fundamentals from castling to checkmate. We will learn tactics and
checkmate patterns to build confidence finishing a game. We may even learn advanced
tournament skills while learning from famous chess games! Register HERE!!!

 

Curiosity Club
 

Curiosity Club - S.T.E.A.M Fun Lab

Mondays after school at West Mercer Elementary School. 3:45 - 5:00pm  
September 29 - December 15, 2025 (no class Nov.17 & 24)


Total 10 sessions, $358.45 per student
Join us in weekly exploration of the curious worlds of science, technology, engineering, art and math with fun (and sometimes messy!) projects aligned with grade level academics and common core standards. You will conduct experiments, build, take apart, create and see how
art, science and technology are connected.  Having fun with S.T.E.A.M. subjects foster lifelong
appreciation and curiosity for learning.

Spanish Immersion Classes – ParisAcademy Northwest

PANW offers Spanish immersion classes for students who wish to get a head-start before high
school and have fun while learning a language. We use a curriculum that is carefully designed
by language experts according to ACTFL standards. Students are introduced to new vocabulary
and their correct pronunciation periodically following a theme. Cultural lessons are infused while
expanding vocabulary. Lessons are constructed around five elements for elementary students:
Total Physical Response Activities, Songs, Games, Crafts and Culture. Inspired by Montessori
system, groups are organized by language level and age and work in groups or one to one to
maximize learning outcome. Beginners/Low Intermediate level welcome!

Petals Art Club

Grades: K-5

Join Petals Art Club and help your child develop must-have skills for the future! Our after-school
program uses a creative crafting curriculum that is both fun and educational. Students will
engage in hands-on projects that foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. We can't wait to
watch the creativity blossom!

  Public Speaking and Debate by Everlove Academy

Tuesday | 4:00 - 5:00pm | Grades K-5 | Max: 15 students
Fall session: 09/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/18, 12/2, 12/9
Cost: $300 (10 sessions)
