WHAT: Island Books Day | a book fair fundraiser for West Mercer PTSA. The PTSA— along with much needed and appreciated volunteers — will host a table of drinks (including wine for parents or grandparents) and light bites from 9-11 am and 4-6 pm. Principal Isakson will be appearing as a bartender during the p.m. hosting! WHEN: Thursday, November 30 | 9 am- 6pm (shop all day!)

WHERE: Island Books @ 3014 78th Ave SE, Mercer Island

WHY?  The West Mercer PTSA Island Books Day is a rare opportunity to holiday shop and/or buy gift cards (including toward your classroom library) AND support your school community at the same time. Island Books will donate 15% of all-day sales from our book fair on Thurs. Nov. 18th (9am-6pm) to the West Mercer PTSA in person or over the phone, including gift cards. Make sure to mention "West Mercer" at check out. 

Mercer Islanders trust Island Books for their incredible selection of books and gifts. The holidays will be here before you know it, so, pick up some books and/or gifts for your kids and yourselves, and cross every gift off of your holiday shopping list (including gift cards for all of your favorite teachers, birthdays, etc!). There are a lot of toys and other fun items for sale. It's a chance to get ahead of the rush AND support the elementary school you love.

Teachers LOVE this event because they have the opportunity to select books to enrich the classroom. This year, several teachers have expressed interest for gift cards to improve classroom libraries, so there will be box for people to buy and donate gift cards to teachers and to the WM library. Gift cards can be a great choice, they are very convenient to have on hand throughout the year for birthdays, teacher gifts, etc. 

Phone orders are great too! Call the store at 206.232.6920 to place your order, or purchase a gift card. Remember you must mention the West Mercer name when you purchase your items/gift cards whether in person or over the phone.  This applies all day, 9am to 7pm: make sure you say West Mercer! Oh, and kids are not permitted to roam unattended in the store.
