 Volunteer for IDEA Project at West Mercer April 17-21

The PTA's SSALD (Special Services and Learning Differences) Committee is proud to bring the IDEA (Interactive Disability Education Awareness) Project to Mercer Island elementary schools.  The goal of the project is to create understanding and empathy by educating students about differences and different abilities.

West Mercer students will participate in the IDEA Project April 17-21 and we will need many volunteers. 

Click HERE to see when your student’s class will visit the IDEA Project and then sign up here for a volunteer slot!

Volunteers will run activity stations where students will participate in interactive activities explaining different abilities.  There will be a brief training prior to the beginning of each session, so volunteers feel comfortable with the activity they will be running.

As a reminder, please make sure you have filled out the MISD volunteer forms at least two days before you volunteer at the school.
