Diwali Celebration Enlightens West Mercer Staff and Students About the Holiday

Staff and Students learn more about the Festival of Lights holiday through a catered Indian lunch and art activities

On Monday, November 13th West Mercer celebrates Diwali - a festival of lights holiday observed by Hindus, Sikhs, and Jains around the world.  It signifies joy and happiness, light over darkness, and good over evil. 

Parent volunteers organized the event which features a catered Indian lunch for Staff and an assortment of art activities including Rangoli designs for K-5 students to color and learn more about the holiday in an artful way.
